About

Imagine walking into your home at dusk...

Rather than switching on the harsh downlights, you reach for the in-line switch on your table lamp, lighting your living room with warm lamplight that highlights a beautiful fabric.

Next you wander over behind the couch and reach under a lampshade on your standard lamp (the one you found 15 years ago in a thrift store), it has a different but complementary fabric - it was a little more expensive, but worth every cent. The paintings on the wall are aglow. The scene is set. Switch on some great music, pour yourself a refreshing drink, sink into your favourite armchair and bask in the glow of another day well spent.

Thats the feeling I get each evening when its time to turn on the lights. The pleasure I feel from using something I made, day in, day out is more than substantial...it really pleases me!

Learn A New Skill

Spend the day learning lampshade making, eating delicious food with a small group of like-minded lovelies.

Learn how to make lampshades. Bring along your choice of fabric (70cm x 30cm) for a very personal result. You will make and take home a 20cm diameter x 23cm height cylinder lampshade – perfect for a bedside table, phone table or desk lamp. Included in the price is a 3Chooks Lampshade Making Kit (RRP $59.95) and access to the tools you need to create your masterpiece plus one on one instruction. Extra take home supplies available for purchase.

Workshops at 'The Nest' also include tea / coffee and sweet treats and are limited to a maximum of 6 people.

Dates

Secure a place in my next lampshade making workshop in 'The Nest', Killcare. Select your preferred date from the drop down menu. You will make and take home your own lampshade using the 3Chooks Lampshade Making Kit,  including one on one instruction from Anna, tea/coffee and a light lunch.
